AI technologies have been deployed in many aspects of our life. It is of essential importance for stakeholders across the globe to gain a better understanding of the emerging technologies and their impact on civil societies, human rights, access to justice and public services.

In this GPI workshop, we will invite distinguished experts from the UK judiciary and interdisciplinary researchers from the UK, Hong Kong, Germany and the United States to discuss these important topics. Please feel most welcome to join our discussion on Thursday, 15 May 2025.

This hybrid event is organised by the Global Policy Institute at Durham University and the Law and Technology Centre, University of Hong Kong. The event will be in person at Durham, and online via Zoom. Online participants will receive the Zoom invitation prior to the workshop upon registration.
