The Gender, Affective Injustice, and Health research theme of the Institute for Medical Humanities, led by Ros Malcolm and Kathy Puddifoot, is happy to announce the dates and readings for the Gender, Affective Injustice, and Health (GAIH) - Reading Group sessions in the Easter Term:

  • Monday 19th January – 2-3pm: Who’s Afraid of Gender: choose between Intro, Chapter 6, and Chapter 9 (or all if you wish)
  • Monday 16th February – 2-3pm: Battle Over Birth: Chapter 5
  • Monday 16th March – 2-3pm: The Make-Believe Space: Affective Geography in a Postwar Polity: Introduction
  • Monday 13th April – 2-3pm: Activist Affordances: How Disabled People Improvise More Habitable Worlds: Chapter 2

These sessions will be held online, 2-3pm. If you are interested in joining the reading group, please register here.

Please note that you are more than welcome to attend individual sessions, depending on your interest and availability.
