What our management students have to say about their experience at Durham University Business School.
What attracted me to Durham University Business School was the high-quality teaching provided by the university as the professors are highly motivated to teach students, experts in their fields, and to help expand the knowledge of students by challenging core theories or core assumptions students may have on certain topics. Furthermore, the location is what attracted me to Durham University Business School as it is a nice and quiet area for me.
Most importantly, the Master’s programme is helping to pave the way for my future career development in the UK. Through Careers and Enterprise activities, students have opportunities to attend seminars and meet representatives from leading companies. I believe these events allow me to expand my professional network and strengthen my LinkedIn profile for future career opportunities.
I completed a degree in Equine Science (Hons) and applied for a masters at the business school. I was worried everyone would have studied management before, putting me at a disadvantage. In reality, postgraduate students come from a huge range of academic and cultural backgrounds, and it really aids discussions and case study analysis to have multiple nationalities in the room.
