Biography

My name is Saheb and I am from India. I hold a B.Math and M.Math degree from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI). My master’s thesis at ISI investigated the fundamentals of algebraic K-theory, Milnor–Witt K-theory and the Bloch–Suslin complex in the context of strong A1-invariance. This involved analysing the intricate relations that appear in the Bloch group of fields.

In the same spirit, my PhD focusses on devising a post-quantum digital signature scheme exploiting the arithmetic complexity of the Bloch group of number fields and their higher analogues. I began my PhD in October 2025, co-supervised by Herbert Gangl (Durham University) and Philippe Elbaz-Vincent (Université Grenoble Alpes). My project will also be seconded by ID Quantique. My project is part of the COGENT doctoral network funded by UKRI.

When I’m not doing mathematics, I like to write poetry, cook, go on hikes, and write jokes — not all at once.
